Cardies - More than Just Your Nana's Knitting

Cardrona Ski Field is a big favourite among locals and international visitors alike.  Known locally as Cardies, it is situated just 35 minutes outside Wanaka and only 60 mins from Queenstown over the Crown Range.

In common with all New Zealand ski areas, you need to drive to the base of the ski field (1260m) via an unsealed road.  It is not however, a 'hang on and hope you don’t die' type of road.
