Cardies - More than Just Your Nana's Knitting
Cardrona Ski Field is a big favourite among locals and international visitors alike. Known locally as Cardies, it is situated just 35 minutes outside Wanaka and only 60 mins from Queenstown over the Crown Range.
In common with all New Zealand ski areas, you need to drive to the base of the ski field (1260m) via an unsealed road. It is not however, a 'hang on and hope you don’t die' type of road. Shopping - Not just for girls
Sometimes you look at people on the hill and think man I really wanna be able to do that. We all watch in awe as guys and girls rip down the hill, kick it on kickers (?) and erm... rail the rails!
