Fox Peak
Open only on the weekends, Fox Peak truly is an unforgettable place. With over 500 hectares of lift accessible terrain there is enough to keep you happy all day long and wanting more at the end!
Fox Peak has three nutcracker rope tows and one platter lift that transport you 580 vertical metres up the mountain giving access to huge uncrowded slopes. The rope tows are well maintained and there are always friendly, helpful people available to assist you in the art of using the nutcracker (along with our awesome guides).
Fox Peak is, in fact, the largest ski area in the South Island featuring exciting wide open faces and fabulous hidden back bowls. There are wonderful views of the coast and mountains from the top and ample opportunity for those that like to hike. The slopes at Fox Peak appeal to all levels especially the intermediate cruisers. With the two bowls facing in different directions (north and south) you will often have the pleasure of riding or skiing soft winter powder in one bowl, then popping across to the other for lovely springtime conditions.
