Dobson
Mt Dobson is situated in a three kilometre wide treeless bowl, facing south-west between Fairlie and Tekapo in the middle of the South Island. It’s features include a natural half pipe, the largest and sunniest learner/intermediate slope in New Zealand, and nicely groomed main trails.
Mt Dobson features a chair lift, a T-bar, and a beginner's ski tow, serving 14 trails over an area of 400 hectares. With it's wide open slopes, and soft, fluffy snow, Mt Dobson is a firm favourite with intermediate skiers and snowboarders. High above the groomed slopes the best skiers and snowboarders will find plenty of powder to challenge themselves on, while beginners will enjoy lessons from the professional staff at their friendly ski school.
