Smack bang in the middle of South Island high country, Lake Tekapo boasts turquoise glacier-fed lakes and a great range of ski terrain for all levels. The stunning isolation of this area makes for a magic winter holiday.

Our Southern Lakes ski areas are some of the most picturesque in the world. With long groomed runs, plenty of opportunity for exploring, and world class terrain parks, there is something here for everyone.

Lake Tekapo ››

Located in the MacKenzie High Country halfway between Wanaka and Christchurch, these ski areas offer great terrain and snow for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, without the crowds that can be found at some of the larger resorts.

Craigieburn Range ››

Cushioned in amongst a mighty mountain range lie our Craigieburn ski areas. Characterised by steep faces, back bowls, and untracked powder, this area is a free-rider’s (or skier’s) paradise.
