If Carlsberg did Websites
Firstly we would like to thank Iain and Trent from Jam Digital, both of whom spent numerous hours designing, formatting, and coding the whole thing. They also had the patience to deal with numerous stupid questions (mainly from Ange it has to be said) and also the ability to fix things that didn't work (mainly things I broke!) so big thanks boys - great job.
While the Northern Hemisphere has been hit by the worst cold snap for 30 years (which is due to global warming?) the team have been hard at work on the beach in New Zealand working on our tans! Spending Christmas day swimming and looking out for sharks was bizzare to say the least for a boy from Liverpool!
We are currently holed up in a place called Atiamuri, which just in case anyone cares is about 30 minutes outside Rotorua (yep the place that stinks of sulphur), working in a lodge/restaurant/cafe type place. Ange is the shop girl when she's not playing scrabble and I am basically everybody's bitch ("Simon do this, Simon do that" etc), and busy painting anything that moves white.
The regular customers are generally farmers and the conversation is pretty much limited to sheep/cows, and of course the weather! So you can imagine that Ange and I are desperate to get back on the hill (preferably one covered with white stuff instead of green stuff).
When not discussing the dire state of dairy farms in NZ (ever seen a poor farmer?) we have been pretty busy, not only setting up the new website, but securing brand new lodges in Wanaka and Craigieburn. Check out the photos on the Tours and Packages page. We have also added a customised tour this year. You tell us what you want to do, and when you want to do it. Whether you want to turn up on a Friday and ski for 4 days and go heli skiing/boarding, or you want to stay in a 5* resort no problem - just give us a call or drop us an email and we will send you a quote.
Although it's only January, if you start looking at flights now you will be suprised with what's on offer. Air New Zealand announced on Jan 13th that it will increase flights between Australia and Queenstown by 20% meaning 20 flights per week! With the low cost carriers and Qantas all after your money there will be plenty of deals out there!
Finally we would like to welcome Claire Williams to our team this year, who some of you would have met last year. We are stoked to have her on board officially this year and I am sure she will add all her experience and a wealth of knowledge to the team.
Til Next Time.
Simon
Finally Liverpool won a game! So well done to them......
