Craigieburn Valley

Craigieburn Valley is steep and deep, the jewel in the crown of the Craigieburn Mountain Range. With wide open powder bowls and steep narrow chutes the area offers something for everyone… except beginners!!

Sarah about to tackle Hamilton Face Sarah about to tackle Hamilton Face Three fast moving rope tows service a vertical rise of 500 metres of the most challenging terrain. A short traverse from the top tow and a quick hike brings you to the top of Hamilton Peak at 1922 metres. From here it's a long run down with many exciting choices through Hamilton Face or the Siberia Basin.

Riders-left of the top tow brings you to a series of double and triple black diamond chutes, you can ride these back to the Main Basin or drop into the famous Middle Basin. The 600 metre vertical descent of Middle Basin can be compared to an in-bounds heliboarding experience, a wide open basin filled with deep pow and face shots all the way down!
