Craigieburn Range
Cushioned in amongst a mighty mountain range lie our Craigieburn ski areas. Characterised by steep faces, back bowls, and untracked powder, this area is a free-rider’s (or skier’s) paradise.
The appeal of the club fields is their lack of infrastructure which in turn leads to smaller numbers of visitors, meaning no lift lines and seemingly endless untracked powder! Skiing or snowboarding in the Craigieburn Valley is a truly unique experience. If you’re into finding lines and hiking to ‘earn your turns’ you will definitely enjoy what the Craigieburn Mountain Range has to offer!
There are no chairlifts in the Craigieburn Mountain Range, only T-bars and the infamous ‘nutcracker’ rope tows. Your guide carries the necessary equipment required for riding the nutcrackers and will assist you in their operation and relevant safety aspects.
CASTLE HILL VILLAGE - NEW ZEALAND
Castle Hill is a picturesque wee village made up of a few ski chalets and a lot of charm. Completely isolated (although only an hour from Christchurch) there are no shops, bars, or restaurants in the village itself. Without cellphone coverage, you really do feel as if you are in the middle of the wilderness and cut off from the rest of the world. Surrounded by mountains and interesting rock formations this truly is a beautiful place to be based for a few days.
